And in addition it was truly wonderful that while Aaron was talking, Mike looked at Sarah and silently mouthed the words "don't listen to him", coming to her defense, protecting her from the One who "Threw the first stone" at the sinner even though "he too had sinned". And in addition it was truly wonderful that Sarah started to cry, and the whole room was upset, and that Aaron immediately started apologizing up and down, saying, "Did I say something wrong? We all sat down to talk and eat some watermelon, mostly it was lighthearted conversation, nothing about the recent turn of events that has stirred the pot so much. Abu Talib and Aaron were sitting quiet while the rest talked about "normal, everyday" things. Now and again Abu Talib would start to share, beautiful words that seemed to be coming directly from God, just like his prayer that day in our dining room, very sincere and clear and pure. Aaron was very, very excited about what Abu Talib was sharing but generally frustrated with the rest of the conversation, seeing it as superficial and even dishonest. The others (Aziza, Mike, Sarah and Pamela) seemed satisfied with their talking, even to the point of sometimes cutting off Abu Talib in mid-sentence to say something sarcastic, or at least less intense than what Abu Talib was sharing. This was increasingly bothering Aaron, who thought that, of the whole bunch, Abu Talib was the only one making any sense. Sarah said she was sorry, but didn't say she was coming back to Mike. She said "I had to come to say sorry because otherwise I just wouldn't feel right." Abu Talib seemed to think that her apology meant she was coming back to 'work things out', and Aaron was increasingly uncomfortable because he was buying into the whole drama, believing it to be reality. It was hard for him to keep his mouth shut, but for a few hours he did, kept on quietly saying "Bawa" and the Ayatul Kursi and the 3rd Kalima. At some point when it looked like Sarah and Pamela were going to leave he couldn't restrain himself anymore and started blurting out something about how Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery but also told her to "go and sin no more," and wondering "does this apology mean you're done with this behavior, or is it just to make you feel better?" While Aaron was talking, Mike looked at Sarah and silently mouthed the words "don't listen to him." Bawa. Ah, my Bawa, you know already what happened...Sarah started to cry, the whole room was upset. Aaron immediately starts apologizing up and down, "Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry, please, I'm just very confused, I couldn't help myself. I'll keep my mouth shut from now on if you'd like." Everyone seemed to say roughly the same thing, "No, it's okay, we know what you mean, we all were thinking what you said, it's just too sensitive right now to say something that intense." Abu Talib said to me, "you weren't making any sense. You were just replaying the reels of your mind." Bawa. My beloved Bawa, you see my heart, do you not? Tho it seemed correct at the time to say something last night, it upset everyone. You see all my arrogance and my ignorance, and that this Aaron character cannot be content with "small talk," he can't talk about God or Jesus without being a hypocrite, and it seems he is unable to keep quiet beyond just a couple hours. What a wonder you are, my God! You can certainly have these feelings of humiliation, regret, judgment, the two headed snake...You can take also my fear of telling all this to Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen, fear of disapproval or scolding, take whatever you'd like. Bawa. Bismillah ir-rahman ir-rahim Bawa. Salam wa-lakum, here is something that we experienced yesterday: Bawa. Sarah's mother Pamela called us to confirm that she'd like to accept our offer to meet up for lunch on Sunday (yesterdy) afternoon. Sarah was with her and they decided to come to the Weiss household. Mike and Aaron and Aziza and Abu Talib were all there waiting for them. When they arrived everyone greeted each other with happiness and Sarah was crying and many "I'm sorry" and "I love you's" were said. We all sat down to talk and eat some watermelon, mostly it was lighthearted conversation, nothing about the recent turn of events that has stirred the pot so much. Abu Talib and Aaron were sitting quiet while the rest talked about "normal, everyday" things. Now and again Abu Talib would start to share, beautiful words that seemed to be coming directly from God, just like his prayer that day in our dining room, very sincere and clear and pure. Aaron was very, very excited about what Abu Talib was sharing but generally frustrated with the rest of the conversation, seeing it as superficial and even dishonest. The others (Aziza, Mike, Sarah and Pamela) seemed satisfied with their talking, even to the point of sometimes cutting off Abu Talib in mid-sentence to say something sarcastic, or at least less intense than what Abu Talib was sharing. This was increasingly bothering Aaron, who thought that, of the whole bunch, Abu Talib was the only one making any sense. Sarah said she was sorry, but didn't say she was coming back to Mike. She said "I had to come to say sorry because otherwise I just wouldn't feel right." Abu Talib seemed to think that her apology meant she was coming back to 'work things out', and Aaron was increasingly uncomfortable because he was buying into the whole drama, believing it to be reality. It was hard for him to keep his mouth shut, but for a few hours he did, kept on quietly saying "Bawa" and the Ayatul Kursi and the 3rd Kalima. At some point when it looked like Sarah and Pamela were going to leave he couldn't restrain himself anymore and started blurting out something about how Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery but also told her to "go and sin no more," and wondering "does this apology mean you're done with this behavior, or is it just to make you feel better?" While Aaron was talking, Mike looked at Sarah and silently mouthed the words "don't listen to him." Bawa. Ah, my Bawa, you know already what happened...Sarah started to cry, the whole room was upset. Aaron immediately starts apologizing up and down, "Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry, please, I'm just very confused, I couldn't help myself. I'll keep my mouth shut from now on if you'd like." Everyone seemed to say roughly the same thing, "No, it's okay, we know what you mean, we all were thinking what you said, it's just too sensitive right now to say something that intense."
